Consequences
- For those who desire forgiveness and repentance, it is given freely. Seeking healing begins with forgiveness. And although the sin is forgiven and forgotten, the consequence remains. By its nature, a memorial causes one reflect and to remember. And a remembrance provides an opportunity for teaching, testimony, and witness for others who might contemplate the path of abortion. It is sad to think of those who do not see the tragedy of abortion and then repeat the mistake. Wounded Spirit
- Intellectual men and women cannot sense the pain, grief, hurt, and sadness to the spirit in their fellow humans. This spiritual pain cannot be measured through scientific principles. Proponents for abortion will say the "mental health" issues after an abortion are miniscule. Little do they know, their godless vision is blind to the spiritually wounded women around the world. Gateway to Abortion
In a country with no moral boundaries on sex and marriage, abortion in the United States is a very fertile ground. Fornication which is sex before marriage and adultery which is extramarital sex, are the root of most abortions. Of women who had an abortion, 67% were never married.
Prior to 1960, one had to look for sex, now in our day, sex finds you. Without a true anchor and proper armor the lures of the world can make it can be difficult to remain pure.
Glamorized by Hollywood, one would think that sex outside of marriage is the way of true joy. However, in reality, sex outside of marriage produces death. Death to blessed relationships and death to goodness. In the case of an unintended pregnancy sex outside of marriage often produces an abortion, the bloodshed of an innocent child. Sin begets sin. The Big Picture
- In America, the focus of abortion is on the mother. But abortion transcends a single person and affects the entire family and close friends.
- Dark secrets loom over all who are touched by a tainted past. Suicide, depression and feelings of worthlessness haunt those associated by abortion.
- For one aborted child, six family members are directly affected: the mother, the father and each of their parents. Since 1973, an estimated 50 million children have been aborted in the United States. Considering the immediate family, 200-250 million are affected by abortions.

They Have It
- In her article, "Support for making abortion broadly illegal growing fastest among young adults", Lydia Saad shows that the Gallop survey of teens and young adults (18-29) through 2009, show that generational differences are narrowing in support for legal abortion.
- Of those young adults sampled, 74% believed that abortion should be either illegal or legal only in certain circumstances. Disassociated with the "menopausal militia", young adults have an unbiased and refreshing look at the beauty of conception and how precious life is in the womb.

Maker of All Things
Often the mother and father are considered the "maker" of the child. But do you know the Maker of ALL things? Do you really know?
Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.
Notice in this verse that God, the Creator, calls the embryo in the womb a child. And in this next verse, it is God who forms the child in the womb!
Isaiah 44:2 Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you...
His Children
God claims ownership of His children. When a child is born to human parents, this child is also born to God.
Ezekiel 16:20-21 "Moreover you took your sons and your daughters, whom you bore to Me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your acts of harlotry a small matter, 21 that you have slain My children and offered them up to them by causing them to pass through the fire?
You are His
God claims ownership of His creation. Every person is His. Every child who dies to abortion is His.
Ezekiel 18:4 "Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.
Maker Rejected
Abortion, evolution, and atheism are related. Godless, faithless, an corrupt they give no credit to the Creator, the Maker of all things. Do you accept Him and desire to understand and seek Him?
Psalms 14:1-2 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
Awesome Child

Consider how a child grows and develops in the mother's womb. It is awe inspiring and amazing! The child's development in the secret place is incredible. Think on these good things.
Psalms 139:13-18 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.
